I lovelovelove your blog and always look forward to your next posts!

I've also been including little movies at my other blog, Here and There. The link to it is in my list at the left. Speaking of the list, I'm definitely going to update it tonight with some new links -- especially to my vegan friends!Deb Schiffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00930921557637227921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8266466235283873006.post-27071232361692180102007-12-05T09:54:00.000-05:002007-12-05T09:54:00.000-05:00Good luck, Ricki! If you find that you really like ...Good luck, Ricki!

If you find that you really like it, it's much less expensive to buy it online in bulk at Amazon.com or other retailers.Deb Schiffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00930921557637227921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8266466235283873006.post-10289622670382694352007-12-05T09:50:00.000-05:002007-12-05T09:50:00.000-05:00Deb,Thanks so much for the kind words! (And for your comment on the Banana Bars--yes, I'm afraid I ate a few too many).

I'm going shopping today and will drop in at the health food store to see if I can find coconut flour. Will let you know once I've tried it!

Ricki
PS The link was my pleasure. Thanks for visiting mine (and for making it a link! so kind of you!).

Coconut flour is so absorbent that I recommend only substituting up to a third of other flours in a recipe. Otherwise, it just gets too dry and mealy. Rule of thumb -- a quarter of a cup goes a long way towards "normalizing" a recipe with agave nectar. It does give recipes a richer, sweeter flavor and a very pleasant scent.

It's especially wonderful in brownie mixes. MMMM. Just going to have to make brownies very soon.

Glad you enjoyed the video. I'm working on my presentation and technique.Deb Schiffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00930921557637227921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8266466235283873006.post-65188626455489047052007-12-04T21:08:00.000-05:002007-12-04T21:08:00.000-05:00Hi Deb,I had no idea that coconut flour absorbs so...Hi Deb,

I had no idea that coconut flour absorbs some moisture (I think?) so that you can use agave one-for-one with sugar. I've been baking with agave for about 4 years now and always have to adjust the moist/dry ratios. Thanks for the neat video. I guess I really must find some coconut flour over here somewhere!Rickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10152813989228518262noreply@blogger.com
